Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Certification

What is the CAPM® ?
The CAPM certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)® is a perfect entry point for people who are just getting into the field of project management, but have little professional experience.  This certification will signal to potential employers that you’re interested in being a member of a project team, or taking on more responsibility for projects in your current position.

If you’d like to gain an understanding of project management fundamentals and learn new tools and techniques, then the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® is right for you.

What are the Prerequisites for this Certification?
To be approved to sit for the CAPM exam, PMI requires either education or professional experience

OPTION 1

Educational Background AND Project Experience
Secondary diploma (high school diploma / global equivalent)   1,500 hours of professional experience on a project team


OPTION 2

Educational Background AND Project Experience
Secondary diploma (high school diploma / global equivalent   23 contact hours of formal project management education (see below)

Computer-based testing (CBT) administered at Prometric Testing Centers 
150 multiple choice questions 
3 hours in length

Certification Cycle
To maintain your CAPM, you must retake the exam every five years.
