What are the Prerequisites for this Certification?
To be approved to sit for the PMP exam, PMI requires both professional experience and formal education.

 Education Background    Project Management Experience    Project Management Education 
Secondary diploma (high school diploma / global equivalent Minimum five years/60 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience and 7,500 hours  leading and directing projects 35 contact hours of formal project management education (see below)
Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or global equivalent) Minimum three years/36 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience and 4,500 hours leading and directing projects 35 contact hours of formal project management education (see below)

Exam Format
Computer-based testing (CBT) administered at Prometric Testing Centers 
200 multiple choice questions 
4 hours in length

Certification Cycle
To maintain your PMP, you must earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) every three years.
