This unit will focus on typical examples of petitions (e.g., nomination, primary and other types of petitions), required forms and procedures for obtaining petitions, where to fill an application for a petition, the role of the municipal clerk and registrars of voters in issuing petitions, verification and rejection of signature on a petition, certification of signatures on a petition, filing procedures and a description of the CVRS Petition module. The procedures for becoming a write-in candidate and pre-election notification to registrars will also be discussed.
