PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL (PMP) CERTIFICATION PREPARATION COURSE Part 1
The PMP exam certification preparation course is offered in two parts, Part 1 & Part 2, which will run consecutively. Students have to register for each part separately and have the option of doing the two parts at different times. However, it is recommended that it is best the two parts are done consecutively without a break.
Effective January 2021, the Project Management Institute (PMI) has updated both the PMP certification exam and the course curriculum, including the course structure and content. The exam will now consist of 50% predictive (Traditional) project management and 50% adaptive (Agile) topics.
This PMP exam prep course Parts 1 & 2 will consist of 5 full days total (Part 1 – 3 days, Part 2 – 2 days), or 12 Evenings of live instructor led classes (currently on-line until further notice), which will earn the student the required 35 PDU’s (professional development units) for qualifying to take the exam.
As per PMI’s ECO (Exam Content Outline) the PMP course will be structured around Domains and Tasks. The 3 Domains are People, Process and Business Environment. Please see the Details Tab for more information on the course content.
The primary objective of this course is to prepare students to take and pass PMI’s PMP examination and earn the PMP certificate. The course will also provide students with the information and education required to be effective project managers in business and industry.
UConn’s instructors hold the PMP certification, are PMI Certified Instructors and have 20+ years’ experience in both industry and in the educational field.
Instructor-led, onlive via Webex (due to Covid-19 restrictions all classes are remote)
Part 1 Course Duration: 3-Day(s) 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
