Project Management Professional (PMP-PMI®) Certification Preparation Course ONLINE

Notice: Course Curriculum Change for PMP® - PMI Exam Preparation Course:

Effective January 1, 2021, the Project Management Institute (PMI) is changing both the certification exam and the course curriculum. The last day for testing under the current program is December 31st. Due to these changes, UConn CITI will use the new curriculum starting in January 2021.

UConn CITI continues to use a hybrid method of course delivery for the Project Management Professional (PMP-PMI®) Exam Preparation course. Students can attend either in-person or on-line live using Webex!

You will be working live (either in-person or remotely) with one of our instructors which allows interaction with your classmates and instructor in real-time, from wherever you are located.

CITI's PMP-PMI program is offered in a 5-day session due to the extensive curriculum. The new course curriculum has been changed to include more instruction in Agile Methodology and to refine the project management process to mirror current real-world methods.

NOTE: If you have taken the PMP-PMI® course using the current PMBOK® body of knowledge, 6th edition, you will need to sit for the current exam by December 31, 2020, or will need to attend another course that utilizes the new curriculum.

The Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam Preparation course includes the foundations of PMI's PMBOK 6th Edition courseware as well as instruction in Agile Methodology.  The course is designed to be an intensive 5-day program that provides detailed knowledge of the PMBOK framework, the knowledge areas, a review of ethics and compliance, and the Agile comparative.

Students will learn to apply project management processes to successfully plan and execute projects while discussing case studies and completing class exercises. The project management standards, tools, and techniques will be presented in detail as it relates to the new curriculum and the PMBOK® 6th edition. This course includes a detailed review of the exam.

Special Note: By taking CITI's PMP® Exam Preparation classes, you will meet the 35 hours (PDUs) of classroom time needed to sit for the exam. Also note that coursework can be taken ANYTIME, and not just prior to taking the exam. The PDUs do not expire, meaning you can take this course and use the principles taught while continuing your journey as a project manager.
