Project Management Professional (PMP-PMI®) Certification Preparation Course Part 2 – Online Live

UConn CITI is now offering its traditional in-person Project Management Professional (PMP-PMI®) Exam Preparation course in an online format! Note: This is Part 2 of the series.

You will be working live (remotely) with one of our instructors as well as interacting with your classmates in real time, from the comfort of your home or office.

CITI's PMP-PMI program is offered in 2 3-day sessions, Part 1 and Part 2, due to the extensive body of knowledge. This 2 part series also allows for questions and help from your instructor with your application and exam prep. 

Due to the postponement of the newest version of the PMP exam to Jan. 2, 2021, this course is being taught using the current body of knowledge. You will have until Dec. 31, 2020 to complete the exam.

The Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam Preparation course includes the foundations of PMI's PMBOK® 6th Edition courseware.The first intensive 3-day section provides detailed knowledge of the PMBOK framework, the first 4 knowlegde areas, and the Agile equivalent. The second 3-day section will cover the remaining 6 process areas, review of ethics and compliance and the Agile comparative. Students will learn to apply project management processes to successfully plan and execute projects while discussing case studies and completing class exercises. The project management standards, tools and techniques will be presented in detail as it related to the PMBOK® 6th edition. This course includes a detailed review of the exam.

Intended Audience:
For individuals who need the educational credentials to take the PMP Certification exam, those who wish to become project managers, or those that desire to build /reinforce a foundation in project management skills and techniques.

Additional Information: 
In order to sit for the exam you will need to document your professional experience in project management. To sit for the PMP-PMI exam you will need:

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
  • 60 months of project management experience 
  • 35 hours of project management education OR CAPM certification

OR:

  • Four-year degree
  • 36 months of project management experience within the last 8 years
  • 35 hours of project management education OR CAPM certification

Instructor-led, live remotely
Duration: 3 Day(s)  9:00 am to 5:00 pm. 
Each participant will receive the PMBOK® 6th edition course manual, as well as supplemental course material.
